Terms of Service

The short version

We watch your website and tell you when it looks broken. We try hard to get it right, but we're a monitoring service, not insurance — we can't promise we'll catch everything, and we're not responsible for what happens to your site. Cancel whenever you like.

What you're getting

KeepPaw checks the websites you add — whether they load, whether the security certificate and domain are about to expire, whether the address records changed, whether browsers have flagged the site, and whether the basics of your email setup look right — and emails you in plain English when something needs attention. Exactly which checks and how many sites depends on your plan, described on our pricing page.

Your side of it

• Only add sites you own or look after. Don't point our checks at anyone else's systems.
• Keep your email address current — if we can't reach you, we can't warn you.
• Don't try to break, overload, or misuse the service, and don't use it to bother anyone else.

Paying and cancelling

Trials are free and need no card. Paid plans bill monthly or annually through Stripe until you cancel. You can cancel any time from your billing page or by asking us; your monitoring keeps running until the end of the period you've already paid for, and we don't bill you again. We don't do automatic partial refunds, but if something went wrong on our end, talk to us — we're reasonable.

What we can't promise

We do our best to check your site reliably and alert you quickly, but no monitoring service catches everything. Networks fail, email gets delayed, and providers have bad days. KeepPaw is provided as-is, without warranties, and we aren't liable for losses arising from an outage we missed, an alert that arrived late, or the service being unavailable. If we're ever found liable for something anyway, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the law that can't be signed away.

Ending things

You can close your account whenever you want. We can suspend or close an account that abuses the service or doesn't pay. If we close yours, we'll tell you why.

The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, USA. If we change them, we'll update this page and note the date; continuing to use KeepPaw after a change means you're okay with it.
